Tinnitus Treatment

National Hearing Care is an accredited provider of the clinically proven Neuromonics Tinnitus Treatment. You can visit www.neuromonics.com for more information.

A formal tinnitus assessment will take up to ninety minutes. During this time we undertake a detailed tinnitus history and conduct an extended frequency range hearing assessment enabling us to map your tinnitus for loudness and pitch. From this information we can establish the intensity of sound necessary to cover up its perception.

This comprehensive assessment then allows us to determine which, if any, treatments might be suitable for you. For many the simple reassurance arising form the tinnitus assessment can be quite satisfactory. Other individuals, with more disturbing tinnitus, are often suitable for the Neuromonics Tinnitus Treatment.

Research conducted by Dr Paul Davis, Adjunct Associate Professor of Audiology at Curtin University of Technology, WA, has led to the development of Neuromonics Tinnitus Treatment. This treatment utilises an individualised acoustic masking therapy, mixed with modified music via a medical device, in conjunction with detailed counseling and appointment protocols. The medical device is approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Australian Therapeutic Goods Authority (TGA).
